Select and Start buttons are difficult to reach while racing. There is not an option to move telemetry to the right buttons.

Standard is using the left handle D-pad for shifting, and the right handle buttons for clutch, ebrake, etc. Lack of sticks means you have to live telemetry (in-race) if you want to manually shift. Since you are now moving the controller, it's hard to hit the correct (and very small) buttons.
XBOX 360 WIRELESS SPEED WHEEL OC MANUAL
Not easy to manual shift (in FM4), and you can forget trying to use the clutch. It's very easy to switch controllers, just wondering why MS didn't include them? Basically anything that you need to utilize the LB and RB to navigate. This means you need to switch controllers for tuning, painting, community, etc. Surprisingly responsive Has good vibration feedback (unlike the non FF wheels which have no game feedback at all) well constructed adjustable "dead" zones in FM4 controller options nice travel and feel of the gas and brake triggers works at multiple angles Small enough to store in a drawer, but big enough to be comfortable in adult hands.Ĭons: There are no Left or Right buttons. If you don't have the money, space, time, and understanding wife for a true mounted FFB wheel, this is an excellent alternative that brings you closer to the driver's seat than the standard pad. Overall Review: This obviously doesn't outperform a $200-$500 wheel/pedal setup. Green lights at the top of the stalks are for what? Haven't determined any patterns yet. No port for a wired mic (you can still use a wireless mic) and no rechargable battery pack. Also, rumble effects only works with Forza4 if it emulates the Fanatec wheel.
XBOX 360 WIRELESS SPEED WHEEL OC PC
Not an issue for PC games where you can easily remap buttons, but for Forza4, the flagship title that this is the official accessory for, you need the RB/LB buttons to navigate some menus. Will not work correctly on games that don't have wheel support. It's not so light that it feels cheap or easy to whip around, and not so heavy that it feels like you did some hammer curls after two hours of gaming.Ĭons: No RB/LB buttons. It's a goofy shape, but after using it you get the feeling that they actually put some thought and engineering in it, instead of just making it a wheel. MS did a great job with ergonomics and weight balancing. The increased range of motion and longer throw on the triggers gives it more control than a standard pad. Much better than that other wheel from that other system that draws obvious comparisons. Steering resolution is extremely precise.

Pros: Works out the box with XBOX360 AND PC (you need the USB wireless dongle).
